A couple of questions

Hi,

Some of the things I’ve been wondering about:

  1. 110/220V, right?
  2. Is the bottom removable if I want to engrave for example the side of a 500mm box?
  3. Plans for rotary axis to engrave round objects?
  4. Plans for gas nozzle to reduce burns and fire hazard?
  5. Laser wave length and expected lifetime?

Hi maghog,

We haven’t released any of those specifics quite yet, but we plan to soon. Make sure you’re on our mailing list so that when we do, you’ll have the info in your inbox right away!

Ok!

A couple of more questions that maybe can be answered when the time is right

  1. Plans for tilting z-axis (to make for example barrel parts)?
  2. Multiple pass carving?
  3. Did I read 1000 or 1200 DPI somewhere?
  4. Laser replacement cost?

Regards

Hi, the announcement today answered some of my questions, but not the following:

Is the bottom removable if I want to engrave for example the side of a 500mm box? Guess Not?
Plans for rotary axis to engrave round objects? Guess Not? Max 38mm thickness leaves drinking glasses out?
Plans for gas nozzle to reduce burns and fire hazard? Future addon?
Plans for tilting z-axis (to make for example barrel parts)? Future addon?
Laser lifetime and replacement cost?

Good luck with the introduction!

/M

Thanks for all the great questions! No removable bottom, rotary axis, or tilting z to announce yet. There’s air assist in place already although it doesn’t have an external hookup, so it’s just ambient air.

Now lets hope that when or if you introduce those features it will be possible for your early backers to have an upgrade path.

I would be extremely interested in a removable bottom.

The removable bottom would open the world up.
