9" Shield and Spear

I’m working on a 22" 3D printed fantasy figurine. It needs a shield and a spear. I was going to 3D print them, but after a test print it was apparent that they need to be laser cut.

I jumped into SketchUp and designed my parts and then laser cut them out of Draftboard.

I then glued the shield parts together and used Bondo to bevel the edges.

Once it was all sanded smooth I covered it with blue tape and laser engraved a pattern onto it. It looks awesome.

I then assembled the spear.

All that was left was some painting and weathering.

Outstanding! I was wondering how those little bits were going to end up being a spear.
