For my wife who is a Mary Poppins (and travel) nut— I expanded the size of the 5"x7" Cartonus “book box with sliding closure” by an inch in either direction to make a gift box for an ornament collection memorializing our month-long visit to Spain, Vienna and Paris this year. (Of course wrapping them in some protective tissue paper to prevent jostling before the final wrap.)
Besides the “Jolly Holiday”-themed lyric references on cover and sides, I engraved the cloisonne Poppins pins in for thematic elements she can easily remove whenever she’d like to use them. And naturally, if she’d like to use this PG maple-and-walnut box afterward for stashing other items, that works practically perfect, too.
The time and love that went into it is very apparent.
