So I made new purchase of a P1S 3d printer and I must say it is pretty fun little thing. I can’t wait to find ways to incorporate prints into laser cuts and designs too.
3D printers are tons of fun! If I had the space I would definitely add a filament printer to my arsenal, to join the resin printer. In fact, I might do it anyway.
Thanks. I have been pushing myself to get back into laser design again since it’s been awhile since I have been focusing on my health. This kinda helped me get back into machines in general and start designing for the laser again too. I got two new ones in the works.
Just last night a friend asked if I could print a prosthetic hand for a kid in his church. I am going to look into it and see if I can find some designs I can modify to fit him.
Check out E-Nable for a crowd-supplied prosthetic device (hands included) group. You can join the thousands of volunteers making hands for kids (& adults). There’s even some work on powered versions using a variety of electronic sub-projects in case you want to go full boat.
Even if you don’t want to make them as part of the E-Nable project, you can find a lot of helpful info on choosing the right style & function as well as download re-sizeable designs.
