First build your board…
So at first I was going to leave it blank face on both sides of the board. But it took 3 hours to do 64 pcs and you would get 60 of them in be left with 4 that would not fit because the interlocks are so similar on some parts. So on one face I did base 8 coordinates but that made it to easy so instead I converted the coordinates font to wing dings. This way the niece can have easy mode or challenge mode by flipping but no super challenge mode of double blank
I don’t do thinking ahead like that, but then that’s my problem !
What a great idea! Really like the idea of making the chess board into a puzzle itself! 
Sure… 'Cause chess isn’t puzzling enough.
Chess is easy. You just have to make up your own rules. Yahtzee! King me!
