Air Assist always On

All of a sudden, my air assist fan is running when I turn on my glowforge. I just ran a project, which finished, but the entire thing was WAY out of alignment and there were some cuts that happened which don’t exist on my file (finger tip joints for two parts, but only one vector line to cut… my results had misaligned cuts as if it ran twice) and the entire thing was a good inch or so higher on my wood.

A few things to note…

  1. I’ve used this file countless times before
  2. I definitely set my material thickness (engraves came out nice and crisp)
  3. Lenses were clean
  4. I’ve detached my air assist fan and cleaned the ports and reattached and made sure the belts are in properly

I’m not sure if the weird results and the air assist fan are connected, but I don’t think I can run any more jobs until this is sorted out. Do I need to get it replaced? This would be the second time… I have the original preorder Glowforge.

Any help would be much appreciated.
