I wanted something for a dear old friend who is in a nursing home because of dementia to show him how much I value his friendship. I reduced the size of a Steve Good design to fit better on his small table. PG medium maple and walnut for sign and medium PG draft board for the stand.
That actually chokes me up a little. Great job.
Awwwwww, very nice job!
That’s really thoughtful…
I love the frame, and the sentiment. Gets you right in the feels, like @Jules said!
Working in mental health I’ve seen how strongly those emotional ties affect people–they remain long after the actual memories have gone.
I had an Alzheimer’s patient in the hospital one time whose wife, on arriving to see him one day, asked him if he remembered her. He studied her for a bit, then shook his head, and replied, “No. But I love you.”
I had to go hide in my office and have a good cry.
Alzheimer’s is devastating.
Love this…as said above…gets you right in the feels…
That is a lovely sign … I’m sure he will get a lot of enjoyment each time he looks at it.
Beautiful, I really like Steve Good patterns.
Wonderful, you are thoughtful and caring.
