I know this rabbit hole quite well. He makes fascinating videos, nicely shot and edited, with soothing music. He even makes snails look weirdly beautiful.

Yeah those old bell insulators caught my eye also.
I had a hundred or so once from an auction and made candle holders out of them.
Nice teal color.

When I was a kid, my mother had a ceramic shop, and had a kiln in the back. My dad got a pickup load of those old bell insulators and spent a month playing with the kiln. He tied some with wire hanging from near the top of the kiln and they would stretch and twist into crazy shapes. But most he would heat up in the kiln and them drop them into water. They would get a crackle effect through and through, but most would stay intact despite the cracks. He would then soak the clear ones on a dye solution, which would follow the fractures in the glass and make beautiful designs.
