Aura will not CUT or SCORE but will ENGRAVE

Background: These are files I have used before with zero issues, now I am having all kinds of issues.
My Aura will not cut or score. I can set it and hit the button but it only engraves. I go in and confirm that its set to CUT and it still will only engrave. If I set it to score , same thing.
It cut some ear rings earlier today with no issue now I am beyond frustrated with this thing. Help please!

Welcome to the community.

When you say it only engraves do you mean the cut is not successfully going through, or do you mean it goes back and forth across the width like an engrave?

If the former, what material/setting are you using?
If the latter, what happens when you run the Gift of Good Measure (it’s in your dashboard)?

It worked fine earlier today to cut some earrings, using 3mm ply… I can put the setting to cut, set speed and power then put the score settings and power go to print and it will only engrave. I have not tired the “gift of good measure” I will look for it

UPDATE: Gift of Good Measure yields same result, engrave only

Welcome to the forum.

When you set up your Aura your first cut was supposed to be the Glowforge Gift Box. Open that file and cut it on typing paper with Proofgrade settings. If it cuts normally, the problems you are having are with your files and using the interface.

Please share a screenshot of one of the earring files and the interface settings you are using.

I am not real good at the screen shot stuff, the Gift Box was the same result as above. The earings was just a small christmas tree deal, simple cut with a hole in it, no problem turned out fine, cut it a 267/10/1x

When you open the Gift Box and select 20# typing paper as the material, does your screen look like this? If not, what is different?

What material were you cutting for earrings that cut at 267/10? Typing paper cuts at 100/10, so I don’t think any material will cut in the Aura at 267/10.

3MM on the earrings

As I said, typing paper cuts at 100/10. There is no material for earrings that will cut at a faster speed than typing paper. A speed of 267 is probably an engrave speed, but definitely not a cut speed.
