I want to make a few baby toys, something that I can’t stop them from putting in their mouths.
Which materials are good/bad for these kinds of projects?
Lots of children’s toys are wood solid wood–be sure to clean the soot off, and after good sanding/smoothing, either leave untreated, or use a food-safe finish, is my guess, since we’ve survived thousands of generations growing up with/chewing on wooden toys…

I’d avoid the exotic woods, though, without some good research. Some of them can be toxic.
