Working on some more new design’s lately and the first one up is this multi use back to school ruler. Draw circles, find inches and centimeters, and I also added in a quick inch section built into the side.
I added a little bit more than the standard 12” (12.5” instead) for some extra room just in case.
Ellen was kind enough to test it out and try the glue on acrylic trick for the coloring on acrylic for me.
Really nice! I am inspired now to make some.
What is the ‘glue on acrylic’ trick? I looked around the forums and I didn’t find anything…not that it isn’t there…I am just not good at finding things!
Nice! I like that quick inch measure. Great addition. Lots to do here i terms of potential enhancements and personalization!
Ellen told me about it and I think she learned it from evansd2, you use wood glue all over the side your going to engrave instead of masking tape so the paint can fill in the engrave better then peel the glue off. Looks like just a thin layer used, not sure what type though.
