Here a concept piece that involves, acrylic, engraving and color sublimation. Put on a piece of acrylic, that was bent into a freestanding frame to place on the table, office etc.
That’s very cool looking!
That is cool. I love bending the acrylic for the stand!
Very nice!
Some advice on bending acrylic, especially pieces that have processed artwork that has been completed before bending… To get a crips bend that does not affect the adjacent artwork, use a straight edge made from aluminum or stainless steel to shield the area adjacent to the bend line. Set the straight edge 1/4" to 1/2" away from the intended bend line, parallel to the intended bend, then apply heat using the straight edge as a guide/shield. When the acrylic has been sufficiently heated, you can bend the acrylic and it will follow the line created by the shield, bending easily and evenly along that line.
Great! Thank you for your advice, and taking the time in doing so. Much appreciated.
This looks spectacular!
WOW!!! That is so artsy and creative. The possibilities are absolutely endless with this technique.
Really cool.
Very nice
Cool effect with the engrave/sub combo.
What a wonderful and subtle effect. Like the bending too.
Oh wow, that’s neat stuff
The bit of color really makes this stand out.
Interesting piece.
