Bending, Acrylic, sublimation

Here a concept piece that involves, acrylic, engraving and color sublimation. Put on a piece of acrylic, that was bent into a freestanding frame to place on the table, office etc.

Very nice!

Some advice on bending acrylic, especially pieces that have processed artwork that has been completed before bending… To get a crips bend that does not affect the adjacent artwork, use a straight edge made from aluminum or stainless steel to shield the area adjacent to the bend line. Set the straight edge 1/4" to 1/2" away from the intended bend line, parallel to the intended bend, then apply heat using the straight edge as a guide/shield. When the acrylic has been sufficiently heated, you can bend the acrylic and it will follow the line created by the shield, bending easily and evenly along that line.
