The front of my house faces north, so although it gets no direct sunlight, the elements do a number on the house numbers. I have replaced them several times over the years, and the paint was flaking off again. I thought why not make new numbers out of opaque black acrylic. I could even precut the small nail holes and use the piece from which the numbers were cut as a template to insure proper alignment and spacing of the numbers.
I designed the nail holes and numbers in separate colors, and then cut out around the numbers in a third color so the GF could cut the nail holes first, then the numbers, then the surround.
