Never say never, but I’m not sure trying to laser cut a tiny hole through a stack of pages is the safest or cleanest approach. Nor do I think it would save much time. But, hey, I’d love for someone to prove me wrong. These cradles are a pretty traditional part of bookbinding but I bought my laser specifically for cutting bookboard (which I still haven’t done!), so I clearly am not tied up too much by tradition!
