Hehe sry for making you feel weird. I put on masking tape before the etch then left it on. Painted let it dry and scrapped off the masking wth a razor. Worked well except some of the glue from the tape smeared onto the paint. I was able to clean it off pretty easy tho with some isopropanol and a microfiber cloth.
Haha, no problem, I just never thought of myself as someone that could inspire others, kind of flattering. Iām still experimenting with how I like to engrave / color / clean tiles at this point. Iāve tried a few different methods, not sure what my favorite is yet lol. Havenāt tried spray paint yet though

now chalk is interestingā¦ did you seal it with something after?
Nope was too scared i would spray onto that one and it would wash away. im going to get a smaller tile today at the store to test with tho. I kinda like how you cant rub it off with your hands but a micro fiber cloth cleans it perfectly in one swipe. i was thinking i might find some colored chalk or pastel crayons and try and color the image
