Wondering whether the precision camera lens is enclosed with the laser optics or whether it will be exposed to exhausr and need separate occasional cleaning or potentially replacement.

Yeah, I remember that statement in the video. Just not sure whether the laser optics and the camera optics are all within the enclosure. Don’t have a camera controlled focusing system in other lasers cutters. The camera lens/optics are likely as important to the functionality of this design as the laser optical chain. Not that it matters a lot either way to whether we would have ordered a Glowforge.
If memory serves, we did some clever stuff with airflow to keep it from getting dirty in the first place. Our latest head has gone weeks without any cleaning of its optics.
