Will GF only work on 2.4 GHz routers?
I don’t know if our IT network is capable of dual bands, but I am having no luck. I connected them, but curious if anyone else uses 5GHz WiFi.
Pretty sure it only likes 2.4GHz. If you search, you can find a bunch of posts about it.

Your Glowforge requires Wi-Fi using 2.4 GHz b/g/n and WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK, WEP, or open security. All the details are in our tech specs.
Hopefully you’ll be able to find a workaround.

IT enabled 2.4 band and were amazed that such a high tech device did not have dual band built in.

As many connectivity issues (signal strength) that we have seen here with 2.4ghz, 5ghz would probably be a nightmare.

Yeah, the drop-off on 5 due to walls, etc are much more significant.

But the tradeoff is less interference from neighbors in my experience.
