Picture attached. The left 3/4 inch and right 1-1/8 inch are grayed out, so I’m losing about 2 inches of print width. I circled them in red to show where I mean.
This is due to your settings. It allows space for the GF laser head to accelerate and decelerate to prevent impacts. This is normal operation.

You need to slow the engrave to 500 or less to get the max width. The engrave area is dynamic based upon head speed.

Thanks, I guess the defaults for Gift of Good Measure are faster than that.
Thanks for the help @jbmanning5, that is correct! Your Glowforge bed can accommodate materials measuring 18 x 20.4”. Your Glowforge has a maximum printable area of approximately 11″ (279 mm) deep and 19.5″ (495 mm) wide, and it’s reduced somewhat when the laser operates at high speed, as it can take space for the laser to decelerate.
