These are not modified pine cones – they grew this way.
Google says they came from a deodar cedar tree. I need one. (Even though cedar trees make me sneeze.)

Once you coat them with resin that won’t be a problem!

That would take a LOT of resin!

I guess it would depend on if you are just putting a layer of resin over the tree or encasing it in a block of resin.

If you used Meshlab you could have a full 3d of them and make them in walnut if you wanted. They would be great in the lid of a box.
