I bought some purpleheart and wanted to try out engraving, so I used a Celtic knot design and cut out a pendant for a necklace and earrings. The holes in the smaller knots were too small for the rings and I broke the outer part of the knot on first try. I am still happy with the result.

I’m really impressed. I had a bit of a battle getting my purpleheart to cut without a ton of charring. I can’t imagine doing something that intricate with it! Looks fantastic!

Nice design! I would look great in leather as well, or anything really.

I also had a lot of charring issues with that wood… Without posting verboten non- settings, did you use several low passes or was it done in one pass? (and is that 1/16 or 1/8 purpleheart). They do look beautiful !
Really nice! I too have had problems with earring holes for hardware.
