Centering and scanning

I have a Glowforge pro that is 2 years and 3 months old, from the initial batch that came out. I have never had any issues with it. Today I power it on and it does it’s initial focus(hear the clicks of the lens focusing) as well as fans spin up and down like normal, it then goes to centering and doesn’t move. I have gone through the lens cleaning, I have also re-establishes WiFi with it just to make sure. It is clearly talking to my cpu. I can see it go offline, focusing, lid open(goes away when closed). It did try to move at one point and moved the head close to the center and then walked it’s way to the lower right corner and stayed there and never moved again. So I powered reset it and tried with the head under the camera and it doesn’t move and still says centering, have also tried with it back at the upper left corner and still says focusing with no motion. I rebooted my computer and also my wireless router just to make sure it wasn’t those as well. I have inspected the black ribbon cable for the lid that connects to the LEDs and lid camera and I see no visual damage at all. I see that a lot of people have had to replace that though. Not sure what else to do. The troubleshooting guide says to talk to tech support at this point. I did send an email earlier, however I hadn’t completed all of the steps I listed above when I sent the email so just trying to fill in all the info now that I have completed.

Mine took about 10-15 minutes to download updates and get ready this morning. Yours may be doing the same.

I have had it on since 0900 this morning and it is still stuck on centering and hasn’t centered.

Tech support is also already emailing me with troubleshooting for it. Sent them pics of the cable connections for the lid lights and camera.

Replied back to tech support yesterday afternoon with pictures and checked what they asked me to but haven’t seen a response yet. I am hoping they get back to me. Have new looking at the ribbon cable for the lid.

I see you already emailed us about this and we’re working on it there, so I’m going to close this topic.
