Newest creation all cut on the GF.
A nice little knife cover designed to match the handle. Three piece body with rosewood sides, basswood frame dyed black (exposed frame design), buck-suede lined, hammered leather straps, engraved and black filled line work between black eyed dowels.
I only wasted a little rosewood cutting this
Thanks for looking!
The rosewood really makes it stand out.
Hard to go wrong with nice rosewood but you did fantastic with the rest as well.
That is a fitting cover for such a beautiful knife.
The rosewood is beautiful. Very nice cover.
Awesome looking. did you 3d engrave the insides of the case to make the blade slot or add a middle layer)s)? Im working on a couple now for family. I am trying to get the scales cut on glowforge but having trouble figuring out the settings for cutting 1/4-3/8" koa.
Thank you! This one is a three piece construction, two outer walls with a center frame, the inside of which matches to the knife perfectly. The inside of the walls are lined with leather, which sandwich the blade. I am in R&D phase of 3D engraving the blade slot and be able to make two pieces of customers want!
Wow, that grain is so luminous!
That is fancy!! Well done!
