One of my first commissioned pieces. PG Thick Cherry ply (2 layers for the base) with DTFB for the packaging for shipment. Zero kerf adjustment between the actual pieces and the fitted form-core packaging – perfect fit! 
NB: DTFB (Dollar Tree Foam Board) is notorious for flare-ups! I cut it low & fast in 3 passes and watch it like a hawk with a damp towel at hand. Safety first!!!
