Chipped paint on glowforge body :(

Hey all,

My glowforge has gotten bumped/rubbed up against by rolling chairs in our office, which has chipped off some of the paint revealing the underlying metal. It’s not the end of the world, but it does make me sad whenever i see it!

Any recommendations on how I might be able to touch it up?

Automobile touch up paint?

perhaps. Tricky part is to match the color, but slightly-off-white is better than the black scuffs I have now!

And when repaired, remove all the chair backs to eliminate this blasphemy from reoccurring.

IDK battlescars are cool. Think Millenium Falcon cool.

Oh no! Rolling chair accidents never sit well.

While this question is outside our team’s scope, I’ve moved it to the Beyond the Manual so the discussion can continue there.

To remove scuffs I’d try a “magic eraser.” It is a mild abrasive so be careful you don’t overdo it. Test on the back first… It is great for doing the same kind of thing to painted walls in the home so it may work for you.

You can decorate it with decal designed to your liking.
