Cleaning Engraved Acrylic After Painting

So i painted some
engraved acrylic today and did not have scratch remover so i thought i’d try soft scrub… that does not work! scratches- as expected but a good test anyway! Can anyone recommend any other household cleaners when using oil based paint?

You might try acetone.

Thanks! works perfectly with acrylic paint but removes oil paint entirely! Next?

Toothpaste, maybe? I use it to get burn residue off acrylic, and it’s just abrasive enough for that without scratching. I haven’t tried it for paint, though.
