Compact Air Filter - No Power?

I have been trying to reach Glowforge support for the past two days, leaving voicemail messages and sending emails. I’ve waited on hold and been disconnected. I am desperate and frustrated and in need of support.

On Monday we were using the Glowforge and Compact Air Filter, when the air flow started to weaken/strengthen/shut off. The light on the CAF power switch blinked and then went out. I’ve been through the manual, I’ve checked both fuses, I’ve checked the electrical receptacle. I am out of ideas. I can’t use the Glowforge Plus without the Compact Air Filter, so I have a giant, expensive paperweight right now.

Is the filter plugged?

I don’t know what that means? Plugged in? Yes.

Is the filter full? As in no longer able to process any more dust. Apparently they can fill up in as little as 10 hours of use depending what materials you are burning.

And that will prevent it from powering on again? I don’t think it’s full, but there is dust/debris in there.

It might. I don’t have a filter myself but have you looked for a reset button? I would also remove the filter and see if it will power on.

Have you confirmed that both power switches are on, the on/off switch next to the power cable, and the speed dial on the opposite side of the filter?

Yes.

I don’t see a reset button. I did try powering on without the filter inside, too.

Well hopefully staff or someone who uses the filter will come up with some better things to try. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
