Compact Filter won't start up

Even with the filter removed, when I turn the power on, it beeps , acts like it is spinning the motor and then the whole thing stops working and the power switch illumination goes out. Any ideas??

Are you referring to a personal filter for the Aura or the Spark?

Compact Filter is what the Glowforge Air Filter was called before the Personal Filter was added to the lineup. I think they renamed it to reduce confusion.
