Correctly Centering Image to Material Center

I can’t imagine someone hasn’t written about it, but I can’t seem to find it. How are folks making sure when they are cutting something like a coaster they are getting it dead center to the material? (I did look, but it seemed to mainly pull up related to the laser getting stuck on centering.

If you want absolute certainty, make a jig. Create a cutout the same size as your coaster. Cut the shape out, remove, put your coaster in the hole, and engrave.

Have you done the camera calibration?

I have not, but I will do that right now if that is recommended.

The camera calibration, along with using the Set Focus tool, should give you near perfect visual alignment.
