Creating a text box

Can someone please tell me how to create a text box. Alli can get is a single line, not a box where I can type multiple lines, eg a business card.

The Glowforge interface only handles text one line at a time.

You’ll have to use an external program to do text boxes. There are many options, some popular ones include:

  • Inkscape
  • Illustrator
  • Affinity

Personally I use inkscape for all of my laser design. It’s powerful and free.

For quick and easy text boxes, you can use word processing programs and save as a pdf.

Welcome to the forum. You will find much useful information here. I have a third way to do this. You can enter the text one line at a time in the GlowForge interface and then align the boxes they way you want them to appear.
