Crow / Raven Light

For Halloween I wanted a ‘spooky’ light, but its been really popular just as a light,
and I had many requests for one, so I wanted to share with my Glowforge Family.
you can buy these (what inspired me) from anywhere from $20 all the way to $150
of you can make your own for about $10.

Here is the .svg (run it as an engrave, then a cut)
Raven ver 2.svg.zip (245.9 KB)

Parts:
The Light (from Amazon)
black krylon spray paint
a small back marble (for the eye) you can use a black bead as well

Very cool! Thank you!

And for other seasons, paint it to make it look like different birds - woodpecker, robin, bluebird… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think people from the American Ornithological Society would disagree. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s pretty cool. Did you think about painting the whole thing black first, papering it, then using just a slightly lighter color of black to outline all the feathered areas?

I love this light! Thanks so much for sharing

I switched to doing a layer scored, instead of engraved, much more definition…
