Has anyone ever lasered one of these crystal cubes on the glowforge? I have one chance and hate to mess it up! 
I’m pretty sure that’s the Key to Time, and I highly recommend you don’t laser it. The universe plunged into eternal chaos and so forth.

If it’s under about 1.9" tall I’d say engrave it like you would glass. Searching the forum for “glass engraving” will find a lot of posts about it.
It’s not far off from engraving tile or stone, so reading those posts is a good plan too.
