Hi, this one is somewhat grand in scale. I made my own version of the boardgame Eclipse: 2nd Dawn (Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy | Board Game | BoardGameGeek) themed around the age of sail, focusing on natural materials like wood and glass. The game has around 1000 individual components, and of these, 617 were made with my Glowforge and hand painted/stained/finished. Most of these were small tokens of various kinds, but there’s also trays, boxes with sliding lids, a storage crate with embedded magnetic seals, a clockwork turn counter. But the centrepiece is the 54 hexagons with laser cut veneer designs. Each of those was a couple hours work. Overall cutting time in total was around 35 hours.
Looks great
Wow! This project is an impressive investment in time well spent. Well done.
This is amazing! I love it when a board game is loved enough to be recreated with such a loving and creative hand. It really shows the love for the game!
Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
That was an undertaking. Looks great.
I’m not a game player, but this looks absolutely fantastic! Job well done, and I’m sure you’ll really enjoy it more since you made it yourself. Looks like a fascinating game - may be above my ability to play it!
That is epic!
Wow!! Very nice!!

Most impressive. Total commitment.
Dedication paid off! Very impressive.
I’m not familiar with this game, but now I want to be. This is fantastic, @Portponky!
