no it is one in layered. after much experimentation found one inch is about all glow forge wants to cut comfortably.

So, a thought hit me with this. Depending on how tight you want the tolerances to be, do you think you could have success if you had a customer/friend/etc take a picture of their items from a high angle, laid out on a piece of paper along with an object of known size like a qtr. Then you could angle adjust using the piece of paper and trace the items on the image. Giving you a perfect template for anything?

If so, this could be a cool way to make custom cases for people that are not close by.

Thoughts?

A two-dimensional is the best for getting proper tolerance. Your suggestion would work, I believe
