I’ve recently received my Glowforge Spark and have been having a blast getting to know it and its capabilities. I want to make some gaming tokens, and I’ve hired an artist to create them for me. She sent me PNGs, so I used a website to trace it into an SVG (its just simple line work and seems to have worked perfectly).
When I go to cut the token, I have the score set to 1 pass, and the cut set to 2 passes. However, its scoring everything twice, and cutting the line four times! I’ve looked at the file to see if maybe there are multiple layers of lines, but I’m not seeing any. What have I done wrong?
I believe that Your trace has resulted in an outside line and an inside line. Can you switch to center line trace? You can also open the file in a vector program and delete one of the lines.
Thank you for the warm welcome! And wow, you are GOOD. The website does have a center trace algorithm. Tried that setting, ran a test cut, and its perfect!
Now I need to readjust my settings and see if I can get a clean cut through the wood. You’re my hero today, thanks again!
