I’m having trouble with having my cuts lined up with the image…(see attached screenshot).
When I first uploaded the file, I had it in the working area and then after finished cutting, it shifted to the left and therefore some parts were not cut.
Is there a way to realign the machine?
Thank you in advance!
edit: i just looked at the image again and it seems that the “y” is shifted to the right but why is the “B” shifted to the left?
The current specs specify an accuracy between the overlay and the actual job/cut of 1/4”.
Are you using Proofgrade material or your own material?
If Proofgrade material, are you seeing an error greater than a 1/4”? If so, I’d recommend capturing your screenshot with the on-screen rulers displayed.
If non-Proofgrade material, you will need to enter the exact material height into the Unknown Materials box. The camera uses the material height to more accurately draw the overlay.
The reason that you are seeing the Y shifted to the right and the B shifted to the left is because the lid camera uses a very wide angle lens to see everything from that close. Distortion is inherent to extreme wide-angle lenses. The system uses the material height to de-warp the picture from the lid camera.
agreed. in the case where the entire design seems to be shifted to one direction from the preview, it would point towards camera alignment, but when the design is larger or smaller than the preview, it points to material height.
