I was cutting a box out of 1/4 maple plywood. No engraving just a cut line. It make 8 passes & started a 9th when I stopped it. I had the speed on 170 & the power on full. It was set for only 1 pass. Any ideas what went wrong?

I agree, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this be anything other than multiple lines in the file. (Not saying it couldn’t be a first time though.) Want us to take a look at the file for you?
Did it go all the way around the work 8 times? Or did it go left to right 8 times? I’m wondering if it registered the lines as an engrave and was trying to engrave the shape instead of cutting it
