Cutting 1/4” walnut plywood

So I just bought sheet of 1/4” plywood. I’ve tried cutting it a few times. The times I were able to cut through it the edges were burnt. Does anyone have any settings they like using with 1/4” plywood with better success?

It’s tough to answer about plywood because not all plywood is created equally. They all can vary with the glues they used, what the core is, how many knots/voids etc. (The glue can have a big impact and can make some plywood almost useless for a laser.) If you got it from home depot or another big box store or from an online vendor, I’d suggest searching with that term as well as that might help narrow down the info you’re looking for.

This is a good article discussing laser plywood. It’s won’t help with your setting, but it might explain the reason you’re having a tough time.
