Cutting Material with Double-Sided Tape on Back

I’ve seen posts in FB GF groups regarding cutting material (wood, acrylic, etc) with double sided tape on the back so that you don’t have to try to glue down little pieces (which, as a newbie, is driving me nuts). Any tips on adjust settings and what kind of tape is affordable and laserable? Any other tips for this method?

I’ve done it using the double-sided duck tape. It’s been a couple of years, though, and I have no memory of whether I had to adjust settings. Seems like I actually didn’t, but I can’t swear to it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I’d try it on some scrap and see; at most you’d probably just need to bump the speed down a tiny bit.

… and just make sure whatever tape you use can be safely cut in the laser.

I have done it with the 3M 300sle. It works great, but is pricey.
