I printed out name in script on paper, put it into the glowforge and went through the process to trace it. All worked well. I cut it once on the Aura- no problem. I exchanged the wood inside to cut another and changed zero settings. The cut time showed to be the exact same. However, it cut one and overlapped a second cut. There’s no second cut layer in the panel. I tried a third time and got the same result. Help!
The Aura is very sensetive to dirt so if the rail is cleaned between each cut it will work bretter.

Thank you - so are you saying dirt on the rail causes it to move between passes and creates a shadow cut?
In order for the machine to know where it is, it keeps track of how far it has moved in each direction. If the head is moved or kept from moving, the counter will lose track of where 0,0 is and place the cut based on the new 0,0 is which will not be correct. The Aura is very sensitive and prone to stick on that crud, misplacing where the 0,0 is.
Edit:
When mine was slipping quite a lot, I got this…
