Dashboard text fonts questions

I’ve been making some nameplates for a customer for a while now using the built-in fonts in the Text function in the Dashoard. They are now requesting a specific font, “freestyle script” that does not appear in the list.

The font is available in Inkscape, but that means a change to my process to import files into the Dashboard and eliminates the ability to quickly make text changes.

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to add fonts to the dashboard?
  2. Is there a way to print out all of the fonts currently available to show them and hopefully find something close to what they want?

  1. Unfortunately, no.

  2. GF uses the Google Fonts library, you can more easily browse them there.

In such a case I simply create the text in my design software and export just the text as it’s own svg, then import the text into the gui and place as needed. Without seeing your product I don’t know if this would work for you…
