I recently bought a batch of 100 cork coaster blanks and have been playing with a bunch of designs to learn how to modify images in Inkscape to be more laser friendly. Depended on the LPI - the first one was at the default 225 and only took about 15 minutes, but the second one was at max LPI 1335 and took about 40 minutes. @Jules - the second one is my favorite too.

They are all very cool! The second one is very striking, but I kinda like the shading on #3 the best. Thanks for the link too, I already have some in my Amazon cart

I engraved a cork trivet as a test but the soot gets a bit smudgy. Everyone’s first reaction is to pick it up and rub it.
