Thank you. How many images are there in this design? It is difficult to discern.

@rpvalk thanks for the share, it really is a very interesting construct with an intriguing design worthy of any desktop.
A conversation piece to say the least!

I am confused by the connections. How many of the “endplate_joineds” are needed? I see 60 “sides_joionts” which provide 120 tabs but there are only 80 square holes between the sides and endplates. Seems like there are more of one type and not enough of the other than are needed.

Would the proper mix be 20 of the “endplates_joineds” and 20 of the “sides_joionts” ?

Lol wanted to make a icosahedron but I was a bit put off by how easy it was. So I decide to make it a bit more challenging to put together.

So they are files from two different projects, or if you want you can build a icosahedron too

But for the box you need

10 sides

20 side joints

Bottom

Top

20 buttom and top joints

12 inner sides

and a top plate veneer

The 20 buttom and top joints actually are 2-3 degrees of but it fitted pretty good for me so I didn’t change them.

the box sides appear to have a flaw. rather than 6 little square holes in each, 2 pairs of holes are connected in a way that results in a v shaped cut. the square holes and the v shape connections are the same color in the shared image so they cut as one or not at all.

Here is the file as I corrected it. Missing 2 triangles though.
