I have cleared my cache and restarted my computer. I receive the message when I tried to import a new design or open an old design.
When I tried to create a brand new design, there were no tools on the lefthand side available. When I tried to add a design, I got another error message and the page reloaded to the dashboard on its own.
We are also having this problem. Specifically I am having this problem on our school district devices. For us, we have cleared the cache/cookies and turned off all extensions that we have the ability to turn off. After all that, we believe it is the Linewize app that our school district uses to monitor internet safety. We believe that maybe Glowforge did an update on their app that broke us and I am working with the tech department to figure out what Linewize is currently blocking that it needs to unblock for this to work. Our current work around for this issue is to go into a Chrome guest browser and that currently works because it is not controlled by Linewize. I am only saying this because I know other people in the district are broken and I suspect people who work in other school districts and use a Glowforge as also broken due to this. Good luck!
I just wanted to follow up on our issue. This is specific to people who work in school districts that use Linewize or Classwize My suspicion was correct and it does have to do with Linewize. They had an update the week before I wrote this that broke us. From what I have heard, it has been escalated to the engineers at their company and they are currently working on it but it sounds like it will not be a quick turn around as they develop a patch that will allow us to be back in business. Unfortunately this means that no student in my district can use the Glowforge until it is corrected. Thankfully our district is not filtering an old version of firefox on my computer and I am also able to go in to guest mode on my chrome browser as a work around. I am not happy but I wanted others to know. If someone reads this and is having the same issue, please make sure that your tech department is aware of the issue and maybe they can reach out to the company to keep track of the progress they are making on the patch.
