I did a search for GF Aura bed pins and came upon a post from someone else asking. A number of others were asking why anyone would need them because it doesn’t even blow paper around. I’m new to the laser world. I’ve been a paper artist for awhile. I got a used aura for a song and was given a stack of 1/8 basswood from Amazon but the partial used sheet I was doing test cuts on was warped. I was trying to use the pins I found earlier but they didn’t fit properly. Whoever took the time to design these little gems …. THANK YOU. Hopefully a lesson learned for all of us. You just never know when something is trash to you, but a treasure to someone else in need. I will try to find the post again so I can properly give a shoutout. The comments were returned off and I didn’t take note of the name. Sorry if this is the wrong section. Did I say I was fairly new here? Lol
Cheers. ![]()

Welcome!!
Welcome.
The Aura is great for cutting paper art. I hope you will share some of your creations one day soon.
This forum is the most helpful place on the internet.
We’re constantly saying that this forum is the best accessory you can get!
I’m guessing it’s this post you found:
Though @lauriann88 also commented that you can use bobby pins pretty well ![]()
I have learned this both by the things I have posted and the things I have found useful through the years.
Well said by both. My lasers are useful on their own, but orders of magnitude more useful with this forum.
Thank you for this, I do believe that was the post. it was margie.anthony ( Profile - margie.anthony - Glowforge Owners Forum ) who provided the pins. (I don’t know how to highlight her name. Hopelessly this works. Lol) )The piece of basswood I been testing on was badly warped. Those pins nailed it to the honeycomb. Lol. Thanks for the welcome.
to tag someone type @ and then their username and it will automatically link them.
If you’re on mobile at least it’ll create a dropdown list so you might not need to type the whole thing.
