I purchased a file that was created on Inkscape and I am not able to upload it. Any suggestions?

What file format was the file saved as? What error message are you receiving from the Glowforge interface?

It just says: There was an error while uploading this file. It’s an SVG. That’s why I can’t figure it out. Thanks

Do you have Inkscape? Can you open the file there?

save it in inkscape as a “plain svg” and try again
The only difference between Inkscape’s native SVG and “plain” is in the header section, where it defines things that set the view in the UI. The GF ignores that, except for the view/workspace size. There’s nothing different in the actual design element section(s)…

I think it might have something to do with my new laptop because my daughter can open it on GF on her laptop. I hope I can figure this out but I’m pretty computer illiterate 
Try a different browser or disable your antivirus software to see if that is causing the problem.
