The box is to hold a set of hexagon coasters I made. The inside is black flocking. Making a hexagon box was an interesting challenge.

You certainly rose to the challenge! I can’t imagine doing a hexagon finger jointed box–how do you get the calculations to come out right?

I started with a square box and modified it in photoshop. From there it was a little trial and error. This was the third one I made. The corners arent perfect but because the inside is black its hard to see any gaps.

Nice work!
I had wondered whether it would be possible to use the “etch to a fixed depth” function to make a tapered tab for box assembly, but I hadn’t tried it yet.
