Drop the mic šŸ˜Ž

Challenge accepted, andā€¦Boom. :sunglasses:

Yes folksā€¦thatā€™s a grain of rice.

The rice grains do not change color when they are engraved, so you need a special backlight and zoom lens for the camera to photograph it.

(Otherwise it just looks like rough rice.)

This is the best I can get. We need a pro here.

Congratulations @dan, @tony, @mark and all of the Glowforge crewā€¦my socks have been blown OFF! :hedgie::hedgie::hedgie::pancake::glowforge:

(It will do text even smaller than that, but I canā€™t photograph it and need to put it under a little microscope thing to see it.)

edit: Okay, figured a better way of taking the shot, through a microscope:

Thatā€™s amazing. Would be great to see a good macro lens on that.

Itā€™s a freebie giveaway you just snap over the iphone lens.

I am absolutely floored!

Iā€™d be surprised if @henryhbk didnā€™t have some sort of macro-capable microscope available in his labs somewhere. Maybe he could follow up if he has time?

Noā€¦I believe the dust mite takes it! ROFL!

Paint the top of a pin head and etch away the paint, then Iā€™ll be impressed. Just kidding! Great job!

Absolutely! I lack photography equipment that will go that small.

Sure would make a great promotional material to show a Glowforge logo engraved in a painted pin head.

Ok, that is IMPRESSIVE, but since I have yet to receive my GlowForge and canā€™t do this myself, how about the ULTIMATE challenge.

Laser the GF symbol on a single Hydrogen Atom!

Too bad hydrogen atoms are blue, makes it hard to see the GF symbol! :-)))
