Hey! We were out on Lake Hartwell too! We kayaked out to a little shoal from Hart State Outdoor Recreation Area (Georgia side),where we were tent camping. It was so cool to see the eclipse from there and also experience a 360° sunset.
That is a better shot than any of our group got!
That lake was bathtub warm. I’m used to cooler flowing water.
Got a lot of great pics. Have taken many full sun and night sky pictures before but never a total eclipse. So I missed some obvious shots. This was the only one that showed the looping solar prominences.
This is an awe inspiring photo. These details are something you cannot see from purely ground observation without some optical assistance.
