Beautiful! playing with edge lit acrylic in next on my list of new techniques to try. A friend wants a night light for his grandson, so I have motivation to give it a go.

what do you do for the base where the light is? Do you custom make those as well, or purchase them somewhere?

Your edge-lit acrylic looks great. Did you do something special to the edges? The USS Sirago one is my favorite.

you don’t have to do anything with the edges. with larger pieces it helps to put white strip at top

Nice work. I also really like the USS SIRAGO plaque, and why wouldn’t I. Conducted UDT/SEAL ops off the USS Grayback LPSS 574 in 1971-1974. Diesel boats… phew!

White strip? Can you elaborate?

If you just put a piece of white paper over the top edge of your work you will notice the reflected light lighted the top part of your works http://lumenedge.com/ sells reflective strips
