Engrave Control

Although it’s been awhile, I used to be able to control the engrave speed and power using different colors in the artwork. Today is the first time I loaded a Create page and the new format came up. The artwork came up with only one engrave box, not a separate box for each color in the original art. The Your topic is similar to… offering explains how it worked in the previous format. That’s not working with the new format.

The interface still recognizes different colors as different operations. Can you share the file and let someone else try it?

Nothing has changed that I can see. I have several designs that have multiple engrave steps, that I set for testing on various materials. I just opened a few and the individual steps are all there.

I’ve worked my way around the problem. Not as I recall doing it in the past. Then again, I don’t recall what I had for lunch yesterday. I made each color a separate layer in the design in Inkscape and then ‘grouped’ them together. That led to another problem. The color lines are very narrow and right along each other. The image in the box (for setting power, speed, etc.) were so low res that I couldn’t tell which was which. I had to go all the way back to Photoshop and place a maker in each corner to represent the color. i.e., top left = blue, top right = green, etc…
I can’t run a test yet because cutting acrylic smells so strong I vent directly to outside, and it’s raining too hard to open my windows. :frowning:
